Sowing the seeds in Fermoy
The second meeting of the Fermoy allotments group took place last night as scheduled. The first thing, of course, remains the finding of an appropriate piece of land, and luckily the group is sufficiently varied in who and what it knows to give us a very wide reach when it comes to spreading the word. The benefits of an allotment for the town are self-evident to the members of the group, but we agreed it might be necessary to advertise these more widely, particularly to those with political influence and who make decisions about the development of the community and town as a whole.
All those in attendance went away with leads to follow.
However, if you are reading this and know of a suitable site in the Fermoy area, fit for growing vegetables and with the possibility of a water supply, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
